Operating Temperature-10°C to +310°C
FFKM (Perfluoroelastomer) combines the elasticity and sealing performance of rubber with the near-universal chemical inertness of PTFE. It is the highest-performing elastomer available and is specified only where other materials cannot survive.
Key Properties
- Resistant to virtually all known chemicals including aggressive solvents
- Operating temperatures up to 310°C continuous
- Near-zero gas permeability
- Excellent plasma and chemical vapour resistance
- Suitable for steam sterilisation (autoclaving)
Limitations
- Highest cost of all elastomers — specified only where other materials fail
- Limited low-temperature performance below -10°C
